“Stories bring communities together, creating a sense of belonging among those who may think they have nothing in common with others. The experience is uplifting for the storyteller and the audience”
Mission
Karen’s mission, is to smash the perception of ageing and inspire over 50s to live a healthier, happy active life, this has led to her expertise being sought out by major media houses across the country, including Macquarie, Fairfax and News Corp, and working with media identities such as Dr Ross Walker, Tim Webster, Suzy Yates and Larry Emdur.
Karen also believes in the power of Storytelling. “Storytelling is what makes us human. We are the only living creature who has the ability to communicate through stories. Storytelling can foster inclusion and connection to others, build personal confidence and bring about change in our communities.” In response to this she founded The Story Room Event Series.
